There is an application which is very familiar to the CARCO-PRP salesmen: giant hydraulic presses for metal forging.

These presses are sometimes as big as a house and they forge a huge piece of red hot metal like butter!

We deliver giant Carcotex V-packings and Carcomach seals for the main cylinder (or main cylinders) of the press and our customers do not want to think of seal failure: simply not acceptable!

Some presses are 25 meters high! 10 meters above ground and 15 meters underground and in some presses our main ram seals are located like three floors underground!

Presses are long-lasting machines; some of them are almost one century old and still running!
